Internal Reference:
SAL147-1
Iroko hardwood
An African tropical hardwood that looks and behaves like teak. Its high quality lets us make wide tabletop segments from one piece of wood. Also available FSC-certified (FSC C143102).
Hellwood (100% PEFC)
European ash, treated to stand up to UV, rain, frost and heat. It reaches Durability Class I, just like the best tropical woods, and has a naturally dark color.
Wood is alive
- Our wood is delivered untreated.
- Over time it turns a natural silver-grey.
- Small cracks can appear and are normal. They often close again when humidity changes.
- Quick test: if a $1 coin doesn't fit in the crack, there's nothing to worry about.
Care
- Wipe with a damp cloth after use.
- Clean and oil twice a year with Extremis Wood Cleaner and Wood Protector to keep the original color.
- Never use a pressure washer.
